Cartwright is rich with history and largely untouched by the tourism industry. It was established in 1775 by Captain George Cartwright, and it has a population of only around 500 people. A road to Cartwright was added in 2002, and since 2009, the city has been fully accessible to the public. The winters are incredibly cold, so the towns are filled almost entirely with people native to the land. There are plenty of activities in Cartwright, including different tours, outdoor expeditions, and visiting the Mealy Mountain National Park. The park is full of different arctic wildlife like wolves, bears, salmon. The beautiful scenery of mountains, tundras, and fjords will also draw you in.
